Celebrating Grandma Kramer

Today we celebrated the life of my amazing grandma.  She died a few weeks before her 90th birthday. All 10 of her kids were able to be with her the day she died.  These pictures are some of the many memories that I have during my time with my grandma:

Denver

We traveled to Denver for my cousin's wedding.  While we were in Denver, we watched the Cubs play, took a cog train up to Pikes Peak, and had some quality family time at my sister's house.

Minneapolis

During our trip to Minneapolis, Dave and I visited the Mall of America, downtown Minneapolis, Mill Ruins Park, and Target Field.  One of the highlights of the trip was spending time with my dear friend Amy who I lived with for a few years in Ann Arbor.

Grandma Kramer Interview

Today I had the privilege of listening to my grandma Kramer share stories about her life.  I learned…she was born in a castle, she wanted to be a trapeze artist when she grew up, about the candy shop her parents owned, how she met her husband, about her love of hats, she didn’t know that she was having twins until they were born, and about the adventures of raising 10 kids.  

My mom and I are working on putting together an interactive book about my grandma's life story.  The audio files from our interview today will be linked to the corresponding pictures in the book that we will publish online so everyone in our family can have access.

San Diego

This was our third trip to California this year!  We enjoyed exploring San Diego and watching the Cubs play.  Here are some pictures from our vacation:

Oakland

Dave and his grandpa have been traveling together to ballparks for the last 10 years.  This trip to Oakland completes grandpa's tour of all the U.S. ballparks.   

California

One of the highlights of this trip to California was experiencing Disneyland for the first time.  It was especially fun to be there with my nieces!  Abby (4 years old) went on her first roller coaster (Space Mountain), and she loved it!

Honeymoon
