We finally arrived at Yosemite! During our two days at Yosemite, we explored the Valley, Bridalveil Fall, Yosemite Falls, Mirror Lake, and Glacier Point. I wish we had another week to spend hiking around the park!
We took over 3,000 pictures during our week in California. This was a fantastic vacation filled with beautiful nature, fun memories, and relaxation!

Our big adventure today was exploring Bodie State Historic Park, which is one of the largest and best preserved ghost towns in the West. During its heyday, Bodie was known for its gold, wickedness, and terrible climate. Click on the following link explore Bodie with us: Day 5
The next three days of our California vacation were spent at Lake Tahoe. We played games, took naps, read books, went kayaking, hiked along the lake, went to the beach, and visited Squaw Valley. Today was the first day of my week long vacation in California with my family. We flew into Oakland Airport and were greeted by my brother and his girlfriend Allie. We spent the afternoon exploring San Francisco. Then, we drove to San Rafael to have dinner with Allie's family. Here is the link for pictures: Day 1
It's official, I found out today that I passed the Fundamentals of Engineering exam! The FE exam is an 8-hour exam that tests your knowledge of math, dynamics, materials, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, thermodynamics, biology, chemistry, computers, electricity, engineering economics, and ethics.
I spent about 3 months studying for this exam. When I wasn’t working, eating, or sleeping, I was studying. The exam basically tests you on what an engineering student should have learned in college. It has been over 10 years since I have done anything with most of the topics, so it took a lot of hard work to relearn the material.
Passing the FE exam is a prerequisite to take the Professional Engineer exam, which is the licensing exam for engineers. So, next year there will be more studying…
