Disney World
In October, we traveled to Disney World with my family. It was fun to see the magic of the park through my nieces' eyes.

Pittsburgh
Dave and I really enjoyed our time in Pittsburgh. We rode the Duquesne Incline, visited Point State Park, enjoyed the beautiful views of the city from PNC Park, explored the Fort Pitt Museum, and learned about the history of the area at the Heinz History Center. PNC Park is now at the top of my list of favorite baseball stadiums to visit!

Baltimore
We were surprised how much we enjoyed our trip to Baltimore! Highlights included exploring the beautiful Peabody Library, climbing to the top of the Washington Monument, visiting Federal Hill, taking a walking tour, spending time at Fort McHenry, and watching the Cubs at Camden Yards.

Miami
It was very warm in Miami! We went on an architecture tour of downtown Miami and learned more about the history of this area. I enjoyed exploring the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. I was so glad that the roof was closed at Marlins Park to keep out the heat.

Matt
Last night my bother-in-law Matt passed away. It’s so difficult to understand why this
happened. Words can’t describe how much
he will be missed by his family and friends.
I was so blessed to have him as a brother-in-law. As I reflect on the short time I knew him, my
mind is flooded with memories of the kindness he showed to the people around
him, the love he had for his wife and daughters, the devotion he showed to his
family, the willingness he had to help others, the laughter he brought to the
conversation, and the smile he had that reflected joy and radiated warmth. Please pray for the Grimestad family,
especially for his wife Susie and his two young daughters. These are some of my favorite memories of
Matt from the day I married his brother:

Los Angeles
This Los Angeles vacation was our first baseball trip for 2017. We spent a lot of time outside during our three days in sunny California. Our destinations included The Huntington (a research and cultural center surrounded by gardens), Dodger Stadium to watch the Cubs, La Brea Tar Pits (the world's most famous ice age fossil excavation site), and my brother's new house in Glendale.
Here are some photos from our trip:
